This year Rosenblum says girls will go wild for the new on-trend items that come in a high-low style or very chunky bejeweled dresses.
Having covered prom dresses for almost a decade, the Seventeen editor says the outfits and their trends come and go as quickly as those on a couture runway. But inspirations arent straight from catwalks theyre from the red carpet.

Now, when I go to big trade shows in Atlanta, they describe really fierce gowns that are blingy with the word Gaga, she says. They are dresses that Lady Gaga or Nicki [Minaj] would pull off. Girls arent necessarily looking for evening wear from the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy or Valentino. They look at what celebs are wearing.
